Bois Jacques Bastogne: An Immersive Journey into History
Dive into the heart of Bois Jacques on a unique immersive journey with the Easy Company thanks to Overlap Reality®, a technology developed by Sky Boy that enhances the effects of augmented reality.
Bois Jacques, an historic site of the Battle of the Ardennes during the Second World War, witnessed intense battles between the American and German armies. In this mobile application, visitors can experience a series of six immersive, 360°, geo-localised videos, each lasting two to three minutes. These videos offer a true historical reenactment, following soldiers from the Easy Company as they recount scenes from their daily lives during the war.
Benjamin Brillaud, also known as NOTA BENE, guides the journey, allowing spectators to immerse themselves in the soldiers' experiences. The application is available in French, English, Dutch, and German, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors.
To experience the app, users need to meet at Bois Jacques, scan the QR code or connect to the "Bois Jacques" Wi-Fi, download the application from the app store, and launch it to load the content. By aiming at the targets placed at each point of interest, users can start the videos and delve into the captivating history of Bois Jacques.
